Experience boss battles that demand precision and patience

SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is an action game. It is a thrilling return for the iconic ninja Joe Musashi in a 2D action platformer with a stunning hand-drawn art style. Developed by the team behind Streets of Rage 4, the game combines fast-paced combat with challenging platforming across beautifully designed stages.

The story in SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance follows Musashi's quest for revenge after his village is destroyed and his clan turned to stone. Along the way, players acquire powerful amulets and Ningi tools that unlock new abilities and paths, enhancing the gameplay with layers of strategy and exploration.

Master the blade

The combat in SHINOBI: Art of Vengeance is fluid and satisfying, offering a wide range of combos and abilities that keep battles dynamic and engaging. The controls are responsive, making it easy to execute precision strikes and navigate complex platforming sections. Each stage introduces unique enemies and environmental challenges, maintaining a steady flow of excitement and variety. The hand-drawn visuals are a standout feature as well.

It captures the atmosphere of classic ninja tales while adding a modern flair with vibrant colors and detailed animations. The game's difficulty strikes a balance that caters to both newcomers and seasoned players, with a learning curve that gradually ramps up through tougher enemies and intricate platforming puzzles. Boss fights are a highlight, requiring strategic use of amulets and quick reflexes to overcome.

The absence of a co-op mode may disappoint some, but the single-player experience is robust enough to stand on its own. Exploration is rewarded with hidden paths and secrets that encourage players to revisit stages, adding replay value. The story, though straightforward, is compelling enough to drive the action forward, with a satisfying sense of progression as Musashi uncovers the dark truth behind his clan’s fate. However, it has linear progression
